BI Implementation Consultant Dan Grudzien Joins Matillion

We’re delighted to welcome on board Daniel Grudzien who has joined us this week in our BI Implementation Team.

Daniel has over 10 years’ experience delivering business intelligence and self-serve reporting solutions in product-centric businesses.  With a BSc in Computer Science and Engineering, he’s worked with a number of commercial and open source BI systems including Cognos, Pentaho and Oracle.

Dan joined us from a major European food manufacturing and distribution company, where he was also heavily involved in ERP and specifically with Sage 500 (good news for all our Sage customers!).

As an implementation consultant, Dan’s role is to, working with colleagues and other Matillion teams, take customers from the point of signing an order to being “Ready For Service”.  This involves helping clients define their requirements, mapping their source data into the Matillion Data Warehouse (using our ETL technology) and making sure everything is exactly as the end user needs to be on the day they go-live.  He’s got the commercial, systems and technical knowledge to make this happen.

Dan tells us, “I’m thrilled to be on board at Matillion.  It’s a fast moving company in an exciting sector and I really like the feel of the place and the rest of the team.  I chose to take the role as it allowed me to take the skills I’ve built around ERP and BI and apply them to lots of customers, with fast implementations that wouldn’t be possible at traditional BI firms.  I can’t wait to get cracking!”

Outside of work Dan is spending lots of time organising his upcoming wedding.
