Toy manufacturer chooses Matillion BI for integrated sales, inventory and purchasing analysis

Toy manufacturer chooses Matillion BI for integrated sales, inventory and purchasing analysisIn the fast-moving world of licensed branded toys, there’s little room for error. So manufacturers need to be able to quickly spot sales trends, fine-tune margins, and rigorously monitor inventories. And at Sambro International, Britain’s biggest privately owned toy manufacturer, spreadsheets were increasingly proving unequal to the task.

Not for much longer. As our latest customer, Sambro International expects to go live with cloud business intelligence software Matillion BI by mid-February—just six weeks after signing with us.

Sambro chose Matillion BI to deliver self service analysis, reporting and Business Intelligence to its sales, purchasing, marketing, supply chain, and executive teams. Our SaaS (Software as a Service) solution will allow Sambro to create new reports and analyses quickly, and be able to readily join together multiple types of information—linking sales data with inventory and purchasing data, for example, which is critical for effective inventory management.

At an affordable monthly subscription, the company will finally be able to unlock the data held in its recently implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV system. It will be able to analyse margins and pricing more accurately and more quickly—combining, for instance, rebates and processing costs with actual sales by channel, sector and geography.

Project Summary:

  • Pain Points: Lack of timely sales, inventory and purchasing data. No Self Serve Reporting, Sales Analysis and Inventory Analysis
  • Modules Selected: Sales Analysis, Inventory Analysis, and Payment Fact
  • Core Systems: Microsoft Dynamics NAV
  • Why they selected Matillion: Our ability to deliver a system readily integrated with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, at a single monthly subscription that delivers everything required
