Partner Marketing Manager

    The Role


    Matillion is seeking an experienced Partner Marketing Manager to join our quickly growing Marketing team.

    As a Partner Marketing Manager, you will define and drive go-to-market strategy and tactics with our cloud data warehouse partners. You will have the exciting opportunity to help deliver on our mission to design and develop cloud-native software that leverages the intersection of data and cloud computing, empowering our customers with lightning-fast access to data-driven insights that drive decision making for their organizations.

    This role will own the development and execution of global go-to-market plans with cloud service providers such as AWS, Google, Microsoft, and Snowflake. You will build close relationships those partners’ marketing teams to maximize joint marketing opportunities.


    Key Areas of Responsibility


    • Define the partner marketing strategy, priorities and budget.

    • Support lead acquisition, enablement and activation thru a solid partner marketing strategy and world class execution.

    • Implement a holistic go-to-market plan and collaborate with various sales and marketing teams to execute it on a worldwide scale

    • Engage, guide, and influence cloud service providers to maximize partner marketing execution effectiveness.

    • Support partners in creating effective joint messaging, value propositions and marketing collateral based on end customer use cases and workloads.

    • Identify specific customer segments and industry verticals important to cloud service provider customers, and define joint value propositions.

    • Define joint value propositions, sources of differentiation, messaging, positioning with ecosystem partners.

    • Foster relationships with key marketing stakeholders and executives at partner organization.

    • Manage business rhythm with partner’s marketing organizations, implement scorecards and KPIs, manage MDF budgets, and track goal achievement.

    • Manage day-to-day activities that include GTM planning, development of co-marketing plans, presentations, marketing collateral, and review/approvals of partner plans and materials.


    Functional or Technical Knowledge and Skills Required



    • 5+ years of experience successfully driving cloud software partner marketing efforts.

    • Track record of success in partner marketing, partner business development, and/or partner program management across the software ecosystem, channels and technology companies.

    • Proven ability to think and work strategically, while also driving rapid execution including personally contributing key deliverables.

    • Solid understanding of cloud computing technology and a utility pricing model.

    • Ability to quickly understand complex issues and simplify them to facilitate broader organizational understanding, decision-making, and action.

    • Enjoy working in a dynamic startup environment, and proactive problem-solving skills.

    • Output orientation with very strong ability to personally create high quality, customer-facing content including presentations, web copy, solution briefs.

    • Passion for technology combined with an entrepreneurial spirit.



    • Product marketing expertise including market sizing, market segmentation, offering design, messaging/positioning development, competitive positioning, pricing, packaging, product launches, and market research.

    • Experience working with or for AWS, Google, Microsoft or Snowflake.

    • Business Development or Sales background a plus.

    • MBA preferred.
