Matillion Named in the 2021 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Data Integration Tools
The Gartner® Magic Quadrant
is out for 2021, and Matillion is very excited to be named again in the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools.
As always, it’s a huge honor to be recognized among the top data integration vendors in the world. And it’s exciting to see the hard work we’ve put into evolving the product to better serve our customers be recognized as well.
Why is this a big deal?
For the uninitiated, the Gartner Magic Quadrant is universally acknowledged as one of the pre-eminent market research reports. Gartner conducts a thorough evaluation of vendors in 15 categories to gauge their ability to execute and completeness of vision in their respective technology spaces. Last year was the first year many modern data integration tools were named in the Magic Quadrant as Niche players, a testament to the increased adoption of cloud-native solutions as a scalable, flexible, and powerful alternative to more traditional data integration tools in the Leaders quadrant.
“The data integration tool market is seeing renewed momentum, driven by requirements for hybrid and multicloud data integration, augmented data management, and data fabric designs,” Gartner says in the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Integration Tools report. (1)
Movin’ on up
Matillion showed much growth this year and gained recognition in the 2021 Magic Quadrant for its completeness of vision. We feel it indicates the more comprehensive nature of our product suite and implementation support, helping our customers get the full value of the cloud.
We are thrilled and humbled to be recognized as a Niche player in the space, as we have seen Matillion grow and change over the past year with:
- Recognition in the Gartner Peer Insights ‘Voice of the Customers’: Data Integration Tools report, with 100 percent of reviewers saying they would recommend our product.
- New and improved features in our products, including support for editable pipelines and schema drift in Matillion Data Loader, data from anywhere to everywhere with our Universal Connector, and a growing number of output connectors for operational systems
- Several product features suggested by our customers in our Ideas Portal, implemented in Matillion ETL
It’s great to be recognized, but even better that it’s because we are growing our product with improvements that help our customers make even more of their data useful in the age of modern analytics.
