The rise of AI is fundamentally changing data engineering. There's no doubt about it. It is supercharging the need for data in organizations. And the organizations that we work with are already constrained on the amount of data that their data teams can deliver. Data teams are struggling with more sources of data, more complexity in those sources, and more volume of data. They're also struggling with greater demands from the business. They're struggling with greater demand for reporting and dashboards. They're struggling with greater demand for powering machine learning models to drive business decision making. And that problem is about to get worse Because what we're gonna see is agentic AI being applied to line of business processes. As soon as you realize what is required to productionize an agentic AI system, you realize it is fed by high quality data. So the AI revolution is going to make the problem worse for data teams, but it's also gonna help to resolve the problem. The data team of the future will be augmented with AI. There's no doubt about it. The decision making process, the design of their data pipelines, the act of finding the right data, and then the actual creation of the pipelines and the creation of the data loads, all of that process can be already augmented with AI, and that AI will only get stronger and more powerful as we go on. Future of data engineering teams is bright, but they will need to adapt to a new way of working, to an agentic way of working. Teams that don't adapt will find that they struggle and their businesses struggle as a result.
