Matillion Credits are used to pay for the consumption of Virtual Core hours while running Matillion ETL instances. One Matillion Credit equals one Virtual Core hour.
You will need an AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform account for which you have administrator rights to launch instances, use Key Pairs, and use or set up VPCs.
Yes – with the new platform you can now contract directly with Matillion or continue to pay through your AWS or Azure accounts. You’ll be able to choose your preference as part of the billing setup process.
Within your account on Matillion Hub, you will be asked to create an organization for billing and managing your instances. And within one organization, you will be restricted to one edition for all associated Matillion instances. However, you can have multiple organizations in your Hub account where you can manage the different respective editions as needed.
For example: You can have one organization for a Basic edition on Amazon Redshift, and one for an Enterprise edition on Snowflake. Or different organizations for Snowflake editions on AWS and Azure.
An Active User is someone who logs into a Matillion ETL instance to develop or perform administrative functions. Every subscription includes 5 Active Users that can work across all METL instances in a subscription. Each additional Active User is charged at 50 credits each billing month that they log into the software, which allows fees to flex up and down according to your teams usage. Active Users are identified by unique usernames.
Yes! With the new instances launched from Matillion Hub you can now add as many users you would like and remove as needed. Each active user over the initial five will be added to your monthly invoice in the amount of 50 credits.
New Matillion customers will purchase and launch their Matillion trials and editions from the new Matillion Hub. Simply click the Get Started button at the bottom of the edition you wish to purchase: It will take you to Matillion Hub to choose the right version of Matillion ETL for your cloud data platform. Links on the marketplaces will direct new customers to Matillion Hub.

Not sure how many vCore hours you need?

(1) Credits have a ratio of 1:1 with your Virtual Core hourly usage. For example, running a m5.large instance with 2 virtual cores, over 1 hour, will consume 2 credits. If your credit consumption falls below your monthly total, you can roll over up to 50% of your monthly credits (non-cumulative). You can also go above your monthly credit consumption, but you will be charged with an overage ($2.00 per credit).
