Matillion Credits are a unit of measure used to pay for the consumption of Matillion resources. Credits are consumed when:

• Matillion Data Loader writes a Batch Row to a table in a target destination, or writes a CDC Row in an initial full load snapshot or a row-level change to a file in the target destination.
• A Matillion ETL instance is running.
• Additional Users beyond the included 5 Users log into Matillion software in a billing month.

You can monitor your Matillion Credit usage at any time through your Account in the Matillion Hub. Should you need to purchase additional Credits, contact us and we will guide you through the process.

The Matillion Hub is a single platform for customers to set up and manage their Matillion Account. You can manage your Account, set up Organizations, manage your Matillion Edition subscriptions and billing settings, and view your Matillion Credit consumption across Matillion Data Loader and Matillion ETL instances. With our Matillion Hub platform, you can contract directly with Matillion or pay through your AWS or Azure accounts. Links on the marketplaces will direct new customers to Matillion Hub, where you can choose your billing preference as part of the Matillion Hub setup process.

Customers create Accounts and Organizations for billing and management, select Editions, and purchase Matillion Credit subscriptions through the Matillion Hub. An Account can have multiple Organizations. An Organization can select a Basic, Advanced, or Enterprise Edition that applies to all Matillion products. Customers can create multiple Organizations if they desire to use different Editions. For example, one Organization can select the Basic Edition for development and testing, and another Organization can select the Enterprise Edition for production environments.

Matillion offers a Free Edition of Matillion Data Loader with core features and a limit of 1M batch rows loaded in a billing month. A batch load that exceeds the 1M row limit will complete, and further batch runs will be restricted until the next billing month or a Matillion Credit subscription is purchased. When a Credit subscription is purchased, any batch loading restrictions are lifted, row counts are reset, and billing begins.

With Matillion Data Loader, Credits are consumed when a Batch Row or a CDC Row is written to a data destination.

A Batch Row is a single row of data written to a table in the target destination. Credits are consumed at a reduced rate when the number of Batch Rows loaded within a billing month reaches certain thresholds, lowering the cost per row loaded as volumes increase.

A CDC Row is a single row of data captured in an initial full load snapshot and written to a file in the target destination, and a single row-level change written to a file in the target destination. Credits are consumed at a reduced rate when the number of CDC Rows loaded within a billing month reaches certain thresholds, lowering the cost per row loaded as volumes increase.

A Matillion ETL instance consumes Credits based on Virtual Core (vCore) per hour usage. A vCore is the same as an AWS vCPU, Azure virtual CPU, or Google vCore. One Credit is consumed for each 3600 seconds (1 hour) of vCore usage.

A User is an individual, identified by a unique username, who logs into Matillion software in a given month. Each Edition subscription includes 5 Users at the Account level, and each User has access to Matillion Data Loader and Matillion ETL. Each additional User is charged 50 Credits each billing month that they log into Matillion software.
